10 parish branches (Spechbach, Lobenfeld, Mönchzell, Mauer with Meckesheim, Gauangelloch with Schatthausen, Eschelbronn, Daisbach and Zuzenhausen) are mentioned in the sightseeing record from 1716. These are now independent parishes. The Sinsheim-Hoffenheim branch was added to the parish of Zuzenhausen in 1850.
In 1886 a new high altar was installed in the church. A few years later in 1927 the church and tower roofs were repaired. In the years up to the Second World War, improvements and renovations were made to the church and the tower. After a low-flying attack in 1945, the choir and tower were repaired.
The number of Catholics tripled from 1945 to 1950 as a result of displaced people from the eastern regions.
A major total renovation of the church was necessary in 2007 after severe cracks had formed on the right wall of the church. In the same year a new altar was installed and the old baptismal font was given to the Protestant parish. The newly restored “Stieffel Organ” from 1864 was also inaugurated this year.
