The marked circular hiking trails open up the scenic beauty of the city forest between Wartberg and Schweinsberg to hikers and walkers

The sunny trails 1 and 3 are ideal for the transitional seasons, while in summer the cool shade of the Köpfertal (trails 4 and 5) beckons. Trail 2 offers surprising views over Heilbronn and the Weinsberg valley in the bare winter forest.

The signposting, financed by the Heilbronn Community Foundation, is designed to ensure orientation in both directions. To protect the trees, the signs are always attached to existing or specially erected posts.

Circular hiking trail 5: 5.9 km, purple markings

From the Gaffenberg parking lot along the edge of the forest to Ludwigsschanze - Jägersruheiche - turn right at the old shooting range to Schweinsberg - via Paulesweg and Steinkohlenklingenweg into Köpfertal - via the footpath back to Gaffenberg. Special recommendation: detour to the Uhlandlinde.

The selected paths are also forestry facilities, which is why there may be occasional disruptions due to forestry work.
