Experience route 7: Nature on the Tauber and the heights

The route takes you from Tauberbischofsheim to the idyllic wine village of Dittwar and over the heights to Dittigheim. You will find moments of silence in the Baroque church of St. Vitus. Nature enthusiasts will learn interesting facts about its biodiversity on the orchard meadow trail or enjoy the sound of the Tauber at the Tauber weir in Dittigheim. On the left side of the Tauber, the route continues to Distelhausen, the home of the Distelhäuser Brewery. Here you can take a pleasurable break with local specialties in the local brewery pub. On the right side of the Tauber, the route returns via Tauberbischofsheim to Impfingen. The parish church of St. Nicholas in Impfingen contains valuable medieval frescoes. The cycle path leads back across the Tauber and through Hochhausen to Tauberbischofsheim. The old town there offers numerous sights and culinary delights. Tip: A cool wine at the Tauber terraces forms a delightful conclusion to this day tour.

Distelhausen: Baroque church St. Markus, St. Wolfgang Chapel (1472), Zobel castle and manor house (1758), Distelhäuser Brewery, hop garden (directly on the bike path)
