This route covers 47 km and takes you along numerous cultural highlights!

Especially Weikersheim invites you for an extensive break. Here you can relax in the historic marketplace and enjoy the view of the castle. If you are curious, you can also visit it including its adjacent castle park. There is even an alchemy museum to admire.

In Bad Mergentheim, the German Order Museum offers a cultural enrichment, or the Solymar Spa provides a relaxing end to the route. In Markelsheim, the winegrowers' cooperative looks forward to a visit.

Bad Mergentheim - Wachbach (6 km)

Wachbach - Hachtel - Rot (6 km)

Rot - Herbsthausen - Adolzhausen - Niederstetten (9 km)

Niederstetten - Vorbachzimmern - Laudenbach - Weikersheim (11 km)

Weikersheim - Elpersheim - Markelsheim - Igersheim - Bad Mergentheim (15 km)

By bus and train to Bad Mergentheim

Depending on your fitness level, you can plan half a day to a whole day for this route. It starts in Bad Mergentheim and initially leads southwards through the Wachbach valley to Hachtel. There the route leaves the valley and overcomes the hill that separates the Wachbach from the Aschbach, which you now follow on a section northwards up to the Tauber. From here, you make a small detour to Weikersheim, where the Vorbach flows into the Tauber, before cycling back along the Tauber to Bad Mergentheim.
