Histotainment Park Adventon

A town like this, a building like this, doesn't come into being overnight, especially since the museum—the only project of its kind—is financed entirely through private funds and relies on volunteers. Nevertheless, several buildings constructed with timber framing or split-log construction already stand; the stone gate tower, modeled on the so-called "Templar House" in Amorbach, is steadily rising; there's a Viking settlement and craftsmen who practice their traditional work there.

The museum is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday between April and October, and construction work is underway. In addition, the historic theme park regularly hosts a public event—a knight's tournament, a Viking festival, or the Great Battle. Seminars, workshops, and courses are held several times a year, where participants can try out old crafts for themselves, play a musical instrument, or learn how to use a bow and arrow or sword.

Home for Endangered Livestock Breeds

As a livestock ark, the open-air museum offers a home to various old sheep breeds, as well as Swabian-Halle pigs and Heck cattle, a re-bred version of the aurochs, which became extinct in the 17th century. Children enjoy the petting zoo with rabbits and chickens and all the exciting discoveries to be made around every corner.

The museum's restaurant offers seasonal regional specialties, coffee specialties, cakes, snacks, and much more. Rustic overnight accommodations are available, as are rooms of various sizes and amenities that can be rented for private events.

Family, company, club, or other group outings to the Histotainment Park Adventon are always a special experience – individual programs can be put together from a variety of programs and activities, from multi-course meals with music, dance, and entertainment to fire shows, juggling, archery, clay oven building, charcoal production, open-fire cooking, or even hands-on work on a historic construction site.
