The wooden Kerner tower offers an excellent view from the Kirgel into the Limpurger Land. The tower is open on Sundays from Easter to October and is run by the Swabian Alb Association.
In 1902, a viewing tower was erected on the Kirgel, Gaildorf's local mountain, by the Swabian Alb Association. It was named in honor of Theobald Kerner.
Justinus Kerner was chief medical officer in Gaildorf from 1815 to 1819. His son Theobald was born here in 1817. Like his father, he also devoted himself to medicine and literature.
The Kerner Tower is open on Sundays and public holidays from Easter to the end of October. The tower offers views of the Kocher and Rott valleys, the Limpurger mountains, the Frickenhofer Höhe and the Mainhardt Forest.
