The musical and artistic concept of the Maulbronn Monastery Concerts is closely linked to the available space. The spatial diversity enables an extraordinarily varied programme.
The main venue for the monastery concerts is the monastery church, which is a wonderful venue for choral concerts, oratorio performances and other sacred music as well as large orchestral concerts. Chamber music concerts from duos to chamber orchestras find their congenial ambience in the two-aisled lay refectory, the former dining hall of the lay monks. The enchanting cloister garden with its picturesque fountain chapel and sprawling magnolia tree is ideal for cheerful serenades or open-air events on balmy summer evenings.
