Varied hiking route over forest and field paths as well as paved local roads, with climbs, many historic sights and great panoramic views

From the market square in Bad Mergentheim, stroll along Burgstraße and continue through the outer spa park, past the Solymar thermal baths, to the golf course in Igersheim. From there, go through the Altenberg nature reserve and along Igersheim hiking trail No. 53 to Möhlerplatz. From here, follow a part of the Taubertal panoramic hiking trail before passing through a residential area and a small industrial area to the Markelsheim vineyards. Then it goes downhill to Markelsheim and then over the Roggenberg with the wine educational trail back to Bad Mergentheim.

Bad Mergentheim: historic old town with old town hall, Teutonic Order Museum and Residenzschloss with park, spa park, wildlife park

Igersheim: Möhlerplatz, St. Nepomuk statue, Neuhausen castle

Markelsheim: Bacchus fountain, town hall, wine educational trail
