On a natural path, you pass through a magnificent forest and vineyard scene with a great view of the landscape.

From the marketplace in Röttingen, you start westward, passing the hospital and below Brattenstein Castle, directly into the Röttingen vineyards. Below the vineyards, an asphalted path leads you to Tauberrettersheim. After crossing the Tauber bridge, you go south through the village. At the village edge begins the Way of the Cross – now the ascent into the forest to Queckbronner Höhe becomes a bit steeper. At the forest edge, you go a short stretch straight before descending again to the Röttingen city hut with a nice rest area. From there, you follow the wine hiking trail below the vineyards back to Röttingen.
