You start in Impfingen and let the Tauber lead you through the floodplain. A side valley brings you to the “Silberbrünnle” – a spring with a spacious rest area. In the extensive forest area, a pavilion invites you to linger. Then it goes on forest paths, only slightly ascending, up to the high plateau of the “Upper Sprait.” As soon as you leave the forest, the view opens up to Tauberbischofsheim – with the distinctive tower dome at the castle. You stroll through the town area, cross the Tauber bridge, and then turn north. On paths lined with hedges, it goes back to Impfingen. The last section is accompanied by the Way of the Cross – a silent path that leaves room for your own thoughts.
It is best to hike the route counterclockwise.
