Directions

You cycle along the Odenwald Madonnas Route via Hainstadt to Walldürn. Walldürn is a significant pilgrimage site with the pilgrimage basilica “To the Holy Blood”. The city and pilgrimage museum, the ivory museum, the regional Odenwald open-air museum, and the light museum invite you to visit; as does the historic old town with numerous half-timbered houses and the town hall built in 1448. Many leisure opportunities, including a 27-hole golf course, will also make you want more. A small detour to the Roman excavations, the Roman bath, and the Limes educational trail is also worthwhile. Walldürn is located on the UNESCO World Heritage Upper German-Rhaetian Limes, the German Timber-Frame Road, the German Limes Road, and the Nibelungen-Siegfried Road. From Walldürn, your bike tour continues on the cycle path through forests and meadows to Rippberg, Schneeberg, and Amorbach to Miltenberg.
