Neckar Arc
The city of Heilbronn seized the opportunity in 2005 when it acquired the 25-hectare site, most of which was lying fallow, from Deutsche Bahn. Since then, the BUGA with the Neckarbogen city exhibition was initially planned on the site. Following its successful completion, the development of the Neckarbogen urban quarter is now continuing.
The Neckarbogen is located in the geographic center of Heilbronn, bordered by the track field of the main train station in the south, the Altneckar in the east, and the Hafenberg and the tracks along Hafenstrasse in the west. The city center can be reached in about 10 to 15 minutes by foot via the Kraneninsel and the Adolf Cluss Bridge.
The central location, the excellent connections to public transport and the supra-local road network as well as the extensive parks and the two lakes make the Neckarbogen an attractive quarter where living, working, learning and recreation are combined in one place.
