The Odenwald Open-Air Museum provides a comprehensive glimpse into past rural life. With 16 buildings already completed, ranging from modest cottages to large farms, visitors can observe the different social strata of the former village community.
The interiors of the houses are authentically furnished, complemented by historical documents and lovingly crafted details, creating a vivid portrayal of history. Visitors can learn about the daily lives of farmers, craftsmen, laborers, shepherds, and midwives, gaining a detailed understanding of living conditions in past centuries.
The museum grounds also boast home gardens, orchards, and various animal species. Visitors have the option to explore independently or join a guided tour. A compact "Little Museum Guide" is available for individual visitors, while groups have the opportunity to book a guided tour.
Cozy seating areas are scattered throughout the museum, perfect for picnicking and enjoying the atmosphere.
