Discover a true treasure of the city with us: the striking bunker on the Theresienwiese. Built in the autumn of 1940, this bunker stands as a silent witness to a time characterised by air raids and the need for protection. Unique in its kind, it is the only bunker built specifically for air defence in Heilbronn during the Second World War. A remarkable detail of its history is the entrance, which was once at ground level and accessible via a footbridge that led from the slaughterhouse across Theresienstraße. After the war, the footbridge was removed, severely restricting access to the tower.
Join us on this journey through time and immerse yourself in the moving history of the Theresiensturm, which today is not only a memorial, but also a place of remembrance and learning.
