Picturesque half-timbered towns, fascinating landscapes, traditional wineries, modern wine bars and rustic taverns: the Württemberg Wine Cycle Route winds its way through vineyards over a total length of 400 km from Niederstetten in the Tauber Valley to Rottenburg am Neckar, offering a wine experience for all the senses.

The vineyards characterize the Württemberg landscape and, thanks to the long wine-growing tradition, have become an integral part of the region. The best way to experience the wine culture is by bike - on a multi-day tour or a single stage of the well-signposted cycle path.
Along the way, pleasure cyclists can learn all about the history and special features of Württemberg wines. There are some exciting towns and regions along the route that invite you to sightsee and linger: These include the university town of Tübingen, Stuttgart - Germany's only major city with its own winery, the picturesque Rems Valley, Ludwigsburg - the three-castle town on the Neckar, the Schiller town of Marbach and Heilbronn - Württemberg's oldest wine town.

In addition to traditional grape varieties such as Lemberger, Trollinger and Riesling, many other grape varieties such as Kerner, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here in Württemberg today.
The wines and winegrowers have won many awards, which is why, in addition to the impressive landscape experience and the varied towns and kilometers driven, a stop for refreshments is of course a must.
In traditional wine taverns, modern vinotheques, only the best is served on your plate or in your glass.

After a long ride, Württemberg wines and Swabian cuisine taste particularly good and will give you strength for the next stage.
