Way of St. James 7th Stage

The pilgrimage route takes you on the 7th stage from Weikersheim, through the Vorbachtal valley to Niederstetten (20.2 km). Current notice (April 2025): Due to construction work on the railway line at the entrance to Markelsheim, the southeastern town exit is also closed to pedestrians. Please use the eastern town exit and the vineyard path again at the start of the 7th stage to reconnect further east to the original route of the Way of St. James. Thank you for your understanding!

After an ascent of approximately 170 m, wonderful panoramic views over the Tauber valley and Weikersheim await you. Through beech and mixed forest, the Vorbachtal valley is steadily climbed up to the Bergkirche in Laudenbach. Passing vineyards, you reach Niederstetten after romantic views.
