Three wine-growing regions in one route
Passing the vineyards of three wine regions (Württemberg, Franconia, and Baden), you explore various wine towns along the route. Through a picturesque hilly landscape, you cycle from the starting point Dörzbach to Miltenberg. The route leads through the medieval old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Then it continues along the course of the Tauber, past charming wine villages heading north until the Tauber flows into the Main at Wertheim. From there, it continues along the Main to Miltenberg.
Enjoyable breaks in an idyllic setting
The stages lie in pretty villages and towns. Spread over seven days, the bike trip allows for a relaxed pace. In the morning, you start very leisurely, and in the afternoon, you always have plenty of time to look around and visit local winemakers for a wine tasting to get to know the Tauber valley wine at numerous wineries and seasonal wine taverns in the Tauber and Main valleys as well as in the side valleys and on the heights.
